Application of Sub-Bottom Profiling (SBP) Methods is quite
broad. The existence of pipelines or underwater cables and strata sedimentation
is one application of Sub-Bottom Profiling methods.
After going through the stage of data processing, the
parabolic shape which is indicative of the pipeline seen more clearly. Migration
step helps restore seismic data points to the actual position so that their
diffraction effects can be reduced.
The above data were taken using frequency 10 KHz SBP
transducer. Filter ferkuensi very helpful in suppressing the existence of unwanted
low-frequency and high frequency noise.
Position the pipe based on the SBP data will be helped by the
presence of marine magnetic methods. For the pipe that is above the surface of
the seabed can be seen with the help of the Side scan sonar methods.
